Electrical Trade Specialty
The Electrical Trade Specialty program is a two-year program for juniors and seniors and is offered as an afternoon class. Students can earn up to 24 Yavapai College credits while working toward OSHA 10, the Yavapai College Electrical Certificate, and NCCER Level 1 Electrical Certifications. Classes are held at the Yavapai College Clarkdale Campus

Tim Perterson, Yavapai College Instructor
Tim Peterson is our Professor of Electrical at Yavapai College. He is a fourth-generation electrician with over 30 years of hands-on experience in the electrical trade. He has worked on everything from residential homes to large commercial projects and solar installations. He is passionate about sharing what I’ve learned and helping others build the skills they need to succeed in this field. His goal in teaching is to make electrical concepts clear, practical, and connected to real-world work—so you can leave this class confident and ready for the next step in your journey.
