Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is a one-semester program available to juniors and seniors, with morning and afternoon class options. Students earn 6 Yavapai College credits and work toward Arizona Board of Nursing CNA Certification. It is recommended that students take Phlebotomy during the opposite semester. Classes are held next Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood.

Sabrina Conway, RN
Mrs. Sabrina Conway brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the healthcare field. She began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), working at The Haven for eight years and gaining valuable hands-on experience caring for patients and supporting their needs.
In 2018, Mrs. Conway earned her Nursing Degree and continued her career with The Haven, further expanding her knowledge and experience within the healthcare system. Her passion for healthcare and her desire to share her knowledge with others led her to VACTE, where she has proudly served as the CNA instructor for the past four years.
Mrs. Conway is passionate about preparing her students for successful careers in healthcare. She enjoys sharing her real-world experiences and helping students develop the skills, confidence, and compassion needed to provide quality patient care.
Outside of teaching, Mrs. Conway enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their three adult children. When she has time to relax, she enjoys crocheting and getting lost in a good book. Family, learning, and helping others are all important parts of what makes Mrs. Conway a valued member of the VACTE community.
