HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) Program
This two-year program prepares students for a career in the HVAC industry by building the foundational technical skills required for entry-level employment. Students will receive hands-on training using industry-standard HVAC equipment and learn proper installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
Program Content Includes:
- Introduction to HVAC systems
- Basic electricity for HVAC technicians
- EPA refrigerant technology
- HVAC circuits and motors
- Heating systems
- HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostics
Upon successful completion, students will have the opportunity to:
- Earn up to 24 college credits through Yavapai College
- Receive a Yavapai College HVAC Installation & Maintenance Technician Certificate
- Test for EPA Refrigerant Certification
- Test for OSHA-10 Certification
Location & Schedule
- Location: Yavapai College – Clarkdale Campus, Skilled Trades Center
- Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 1:30 PM–3:45 PM
- Additional Requirement: Online coursework throughout the week
- Transportation: Students must provide their own transportation
